Brief presentation of numerous energy conservation features involved in this project include redesign of exterior envelope both shape and materials including electro-chromatic (automatic dimming) glazing, chilled beam HVAC system with Energy Recovery DOAS system, high efficient steam heat exchanger, variable flow Hot Water and Chilled Beam Cooling loops, high efficiency DX equipment for cooling Computer Room facilities, LED Lighting with wireless controls for occupancy, dimming and integration to HVAC units, state of the art Building Automation System with continuous commissioning data analysis software.
Presentation by Donald Swick, Facilities Engineer, assigned Project Representative from UNM Engineering Department for this major UNM Construction Project, Certified Energy Engineer, (plus CEA, GBE, CGD, and CDSM), 2015 AEE Regional Energy Engineer of the Year, past NMAEE officer and current Chapter Mentor to the UNM AEE Student Chapter organization, and recent NMAEE Hall of Fame inductee.
